The Zimbabwe republic police and the army in Bulawayo have started to tighten lockdown measures following the rapid increase in covid-19 cases. Army and police trucks are moving in CBD commanding people to go back home if they have no serious business in town.
On 16 July only, Zimbabwe recorded 273 positive Covid-19 cases which was the highest recorded ever since Covid-19 started to spread. 260 were local transmission among the 273.
However some political analysts have analysed the scenario and have come to the conclusion that the increase in number of Covid-19 cases could be political. Others have said that numbers could be increased just to stop the 31 July demo organised by some members of the opposition.
Should people risk their lives and continue with the demo?
